Petit Le Mans - Three Hour Mark

We've passed the race distance of most of our races throughout the year and our Porsche is running like a top. We had quite a bit of yellow during the last hour but at the three hour mark Ryan was running in third place and putting down quicker times than the two GTC cars ahead of us.

Petit Le Mans - Two hour mark

John did the bulk of the second hour after Andrew turned the car over, running from P5 after the pitstop to P3 just before he pitted and turned the car over to Ryan.

Petit Le Mans - One Hour mark

Andrew started the No. 77 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for us and had a clean start, losing one spot early in the going before getting it back. While he ran clean and fast laps, we unfortunately got split up from the first two GTC cars by the race leader when a full course yellow fell for a GTC car that was in the turn 12 barrier. At the one-hour mark, we are circulating in 3rd and dodging the 200 mph Peugeots, Audis, and Lolas.

Friday at Petit Le Mans

Friday is day three of our American Le Mans Series adventure, with practice being held throughout Wednesday and Thursday. We started a little bit behind the curve, as this is our first weekend running the No. 77 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in ALMS spec, but the team had constantly improved things leading up to yesterday's night practice when Andrew Davis threw down a time good for P2 in the session.

In this morning's final practice session, Andrew again put in a time good for P2. Even more encouraging was the times that Ryan Eversely and John Potter put in during the session - showing that the Magnus Racing Porsche is going to be very competitive over the course of a long race.

Andrew qualified and we looked to be 2nd in the session, but was just edged out by another Porsche in the final stages of the session, so we will start third. No surprise that Andrew, as competitive as he is, was not happy about missing out on a pole position. However, a lot can happen in the 10 hours or 1000 miles of Petit Le Mans - and GTC is shaping up to be a very competitive race between the top three GTC cars. By the way, pole position was set by our old friend Jeroen Bleekemolen.

Tune in to SPEED Channel tomorrow 11:00 AM ET to see the Petit Le Mans live. Also, be sure to keep up with us on our Facebook and twitter feeds as we will be posting updates throughout the race.

We're going to Petit! And we got some local boys to help

Just when you thought the party was over...we are racing at this weekend's Petit Le Mans in Road Atlanta. Since Craig jumped ship to drive a Ford GT, we've gotten two guys who know Road Atlanta really well - Andrew Davis and Ryan Eversley - to co-drive with John this weekend.

We'll be keeping the website updated throughout the weekend, as well as posting constant updates throughout the nine hour Petit Le Mans on Saturday.
