Friday at Petit Le Mans

Friday is day three of our American Le Mans Series adventure, with practice being held throughout Wednesday and Thursday. We started a little bit behind the curve, as this is our first weekend running the No. 77 Magnus Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in ALMS spec, but the team had constantly improved things leading up to yesterday's night practice when Andrew Davis threw down a time good for P2 in the session.

In this morning's final practice session, Andrew again put in a time good for P2. Even more encouraging was the times that Ryan Eversely and John Potter put in during the session - showing that the Magnus Racing Porsche is going to be very competitive over the course of a long race.

Andrew qualified and we looked to be 2nd in the session, but was just edged out by another Porsche in the final stages of the session, so we will start third. No surprise that Andrew, as competitive as he is, was not happy about missing out on a pole position. However, a lot can happen in the 10 hours or 1000 miles of Petit Le Mans - and GTC is shaping up to be a very competitive race between the top three GTC cars. By the way, pole position was set by our old friend Jeroen Bleekemolen.

Tune in to SPEED Channel tomorrow 11:00 AM ET to see the Petit Le Mans live. Also, be sure to keep up with us on our Facebook and twitter feeds as we will be posting updates throughout the race.
